This is why I used to insist upon laced up shoes. Double knots. Almost impossible for the little ones to undo.
Now we have velcro. At the ongoing insistence of his mother and teachers. Sigh.
Next pair, I'm back to laces. Screw this independence nonsense. He wants to be independent? Learn to tie your shoes.

I missed this comment -- we have laced shoes, which are great, but they always manage to unlace them. What's this double knot stuff? I think I'll need a visual aid. Do you need extra long laces?
They also don't make laced sandals that I know of.
