A Flying Shame

This photo was taken in May and I just realized that I never posted it.

And that is a flying shame.

My two front teeth

What does this face say to you?

Here's what is says to me:

"My first two bottom teeth are just starting to come in. The operative word here is 'my', so you can just keep your fingers OUT OF MY MOUTH thank you very much. I will show you my new teeth when I'm good and ready and not one minute sooner -- even if you are my mommy and daddy and are practically melting with excitement to see them."

Yup, that's pretty much what it says to me.

Peekaboo

Another major milestone reached: ability to escape from underneath a receiving blanket.

Is there no end to my children's genius?

Miss 'tude

Photograph taken shortly before Zoe is informed,

"OK missy, you and your attitude are coming with me."

The gravity of the situation is somewhat lessened when giggles ensue upon potato sack treatment.

Introducing the Spokesbabies

Still more proof that we have the best nanny in the world: Svitlana often takes photos of the girls during the day with our camera and then lets me discover them whenever I happen to pick it up.

The photos frequently feature the girls in their outfits of the day, but it seems Svitlana spent today considering how the girls could help earn their keep as spokesbabies.

I believe the captions would be:

"Nothing comes between me and my Lipil" and "One free in every box!"

Practicing the Innocent Look

Eleni has been practicing her innocent look lately.

See for yourself: Here we have caught her on camera purposefully knocking down a tower of blocks -- and then instantly looking simply shocked and appalled that the blocks have fallen.

Sure, you laugh now, but I have a feeling she may continue honing these skills going forward.

*flash forward 16 years*

"Jeepers Dad, how did your car get that big scratch in it?!?!?"
