In the bag

Last Friday brought an eagerly anticipated visit from one Anne Louise Bigliani, the elder of my two honorary little sisters.

Anne Louise and her sister Suzie are two very big reasons I wanted children. Anne Louise was born to our neighbors when I was 10. We shared Betty as babysitter for several years, which meant her tiny little self would be there when I got home from school every day -- perfectly wonderful.

I consider she and Suzie to have been my mommy training wheels...E&Z remind me of them all the time.

So it was particularly special to get the chance to introduce them to one another.

Anne Louise was sweet enough to bring the girls little Harvard Business School teddy bears, which Kostas and I fell in love with right away.




The girls, on the other hand, showed immediate preference for a different part of the gift...
