Zoe & Eleni's Favorites

When I was pregnant, I asked everyone I knew with babies for recommendations on what we absolutely had to have. To return the favor to others, here are some of Eleni & Zoe's must-have items, and when they started using them:

Swing. (birth+)
You absolutely must have a swing. We had the fishy one from fisher price. They strongly preferred the front-to-back setting to the side-to-side setting. They would have lived in it if we'd let them, and with good reason. I wish they made these in adult sizes.

Costco wipes (birth+)
Better than Pampers and the other brands (don't leave fluff on baby's bottom), and cheaper too. You can get giant cans of Enfamil Lipil at Costco too, and diapers size 2 and up (why you can't get Newborn & size 1 is a mystery.

Clutch cube (3 months +)
Their favorite toy outside the crib.

Crib Mirror (3 months +)
Now here's the catch. You do not need just any crib mirror, you need the Sassy brand Me in the Mirror crib mirror crib mirror. "Why?" you ask? Because of the little purple birdy in the top left corner. He's attached to the mirror by a ribbon and he will be your child's new best friend. They will bat him when they're falling asleep. They will bat him when they're waking up. They will bat him when they're crying up a storm. They put their feet against the mirror and try to pull him off (to no avail).

My girls don't agree on much, but they agree on birdy. And birdy happens to be attached to this mirror. So you need this mirror.

They like the mirror part too.

A Good Bouncer with a fun activity attachment (birth +)
Another place to put the baby. We have the Fisher Price Aquarium bouncer. We used it in the beginning without the bar and then added the bar once the girls started focusing we started using the bar. They totally love the fishes/water/bubbles combo.
